Carsten Höller
Originally trained as a biologist, German-Belgian artist Carsten Höller embarked on his artistic career in the
1980s. His surprising and playful works have made him one of the biggest names on the international
contemporary art scene. He has exhibited giant slides at the Tate Modern in London, let out live reindeer
and canaries at the Hamburger Bahnhof and installed rotating carousels at the New Museum in New York.
