CHRISTMAS AT ORDRUPGAARD

Christmas has arrived at Ordrupgaard, where festive decorations are up for the holiday season. In our workshops, you can make Christmas decorations and create innovative works with LEGO. Every Sunday, stories are read aloud by the Christmas tree, followed by an exciting lantern tour in the art park.
The Christmas spirit fills the air with several concerts in December, and the shop is full of tempting goods and unique ideas for Christmas gifts. In the café, enjoy warm Christmas dishes, mulled wine, and seasonal sweets.

THE CHRISTMAS TABLE

Garden architect Dorthe Kvist has created a magical Christmas table setting in the manor house, inspired by the historical Christmas celebrations of Ordrupgaard’s founding couple, Henny og Wilhelm Hansen. The table features natural decorations of dried flowers and handmade paper flowers and elegant, monogrammed porcelain from the early 20th century.

A special Christmas booklet, available in the museum foyer, guides children and their families through the museum halls. The hunt is based on the unique Danish and French art collections of the 19th century and provides fun, educational, and memorable art experiences.
