A richly illustrated catalogue published in conjunction with the exhibition: Gauguin and Impressionism. The exhibition was organized in a collaboration between Ordrupgaard and Kimbell Art Museum and was held at Ordrupgaard from August 30 – November 20, 2005.

The catalogue is about the French artist Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) and reflects ...the exhibition’s focus on Gauguin’s Impressionist work as well as on his contribution to Impressionism in general. The focal point is the works from Gauguin’s early career that are often overlooked due to a general focus on his later Symbolist period. Besides paintings the catalogue also presents sculptures and ceramic works by Gauguin.
