A richly illustrated catalogue, published in conjunction with the exhibition: Delacroix. The Music of Painting. The exhibition was held at Ordrupgaard from September 13 – December 30, 2000.

The catalogue is about the French artist Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863) and reflects the exhibition’s focus on the relation between music ...and painting in Delacroix’ work. A focal point is Delacroix’ ideas about the existence of an intimate connection between music and painting, “the music of painting”. Furthermore the catalogue uncovers the role of Music in Delacroix’ range of motifs.
