OUT IN THE OPEN
In Ordrupgaard’s park, you can experience great art out in the open – created by contemporary Danish and international artists.
Try stepping into Jeppe Hein’s water pavilion to be surrounded by water, climb Doug and Mike Starn’s high bamboo tower, step into Randi & Katrine’s giant fir cone, or jump through a cloud of mist in Olafur Eliasson’s work Weather the Weather.
Since 2013, Ordrupgaard has allowed contemporary art to shoot up among trees, flowers, and bushes in the green museum park.
Pondering nature and fleeting natural phenomena such as wind, light, and reflections is the common theme of these works – mirroring the French impressionists in the museum gallery spaces.
Please note that certain works are closed during the winter months.
