Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Édouard Manet, Berthe Morisot, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Rodin, Paul Gauguin, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne og and many more. With the exhibition French Temptations, Ordrupgaard is offering a feast of masterpieces from the museum’s French collection.
As something quite unique, Ordupgaard is also showing its extensive collection of pastels – works that are exhibited only rarely, due to their highly light-sensitive and fragile nature. Amongst these are Degas’ famous and masterly pastels of ballerinas and Renoir’s and Mandet’s depictions of Parisians and life in the French metropolis in the end of 1800s.
