Ordrupgaard Café by Chaya offers Nordic ingredients and seasonal greens – with a focus on good taste and sustainability. There will be delicious dishes for both the small and big hunger, and the menu will be continuously updated to make the best possible use of seasonal ingredients. Of course, it will also be possible to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee as well as a piece of cake or a delicate dessert. As Chaya is a tea company, tea will naturally be in focus, and we hope to be able to present this in new exciting ways.

The café is located in the stunning Zaha Hadid building with glass windows overlooking the beautiful garden. The modern building contrasts with the lush garden, which is very much the balance Chaya works with. We hope that with the museum we can encourage curiosity and create new experiences. In the scenic surroundings we will create a calming space from the busy everyday life – be it with a to-go tea and coffee in the garden or a good lunch in the café building – Chaya welcomes you!

The name Chaya is Japanese and means 'little tea house' – and that's how it all started – with a little tea house that has grown bigger over the years, but insists on being present and personal. Today, Chaya consists of two shops and a webshop, where we sell exquisite teas and delicious accessories. In addition, Chaya runs the café at Queen Louise Tea House in Bernstorffparken, and from the summer of 2021, the café at Ordrupgaard museum as well.
